In the real world, you don’t need perfect grammar or flawless handwriting to use a language in your daily life. You only need to be able to speak it and be understood. We have designed this course with the value of verbal practice in mind. After all, all language is rooted in orality and we need strong roots to grow.
Level 1 is the perfect place for new learners to start. Master common words and phrases from these various topics: greetings, counting, colours, family members, fruits, vegetables, body parts, clothing, and MORE!

Level 2 continues the learning. Understand and use Punjabi words and sentences for basic daily communication. Topics include animals, rooms in the house, weather, directions, going to the Gurdwara, days of the week, and MORE!

Level 3 helps students communicate on familiar topics using a variety of words and phrases. Topics include ordinals, nature, time, school, occupations, transportation, quantities, Sikh Celebrations, the pind, 5 W’s and MORE!

Level 4 students begin to work on mini assignments describing their families, typical day, favourite activities and more! Topics include household items, time, school, common phrases, Sikh Celebrations and MORE!

Level 5 pushes kid’s confidence even further! By personalizing each class to their needs and interests, students are encouraged to take risks in order to narrate and describe things in detail. It’s that easy with Maa Boli!

Level 6 is dedicated to reinforcing vocabulary and grammar rules learned so far. Students will engage in immersive, full conversations in Punjabi, and we’re thrilled to introduce them to the Gurmukhi alphabet as well!

Level 7 continues to strengthen full Punjabi conversations while introducing Gurmukhi vowels. Your child will begin reading simple three- and four-letter words using vowels like kanna, sihari, bihari, aunkar, dulankar, lavan, and dulavan.
