How it works. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3

Let’s work together and watch our children grow as Punjabi becomes a part of their daily life.

Step 1: Attend Class

Your child will attend live online classes twice a week with their instructor. Classes are 50 minutes in length and occur through zoom.

Step 2: Practice independently

Between classes your child will practice using Maa Boli flashcards, online games, and lesson review sheets.

Step 3: Parents, it's your turn

Speak Punjabi for 10 minutes a day with your child. Check your email for a weekly recap of words learned along with conversation starters.

Conversation based learning

During each lesson, every child gets an opportunity to practice speaking Punjabi with age-appropriate peers. Instructors provide instant feedback regarding their pronunciation, sentence structure, tongue placement, etc. This is done in a very positive manner, ensuring each child feels safe and comfortable.

Small-Group Classes

Kids enjoy learning with other kids, fostering deeper learning and engagement. Small classes allow the instructor to give individualized attention. Class content and pacing is tailored to the needs of the students. With Maa Boli, you can learn with your cousins and friends by enrolling in the same class.

Classes twice a week

At Maa Boli, we designed our programs with the science of human memory in mind. Once a week just isn’t enough. Our classes meet twice a week, allowing students to encounter the same information again and again. This schedule ensures that students will learn and remember better.

Practice With Parents

Research shows that parents play a huge role in their child’s language development. It can be difficult to figure out how to support your child, but Maa Boli is here to guide you. Setting aside 10 minutes each day to speak Punjabi with your child will help them on their journey.

Practice independently

Our flashcards, online games, and lesson review sheets encourage repetition and help students create permanent memories. These activities are easy to use, fun, and versatile. Consistency is key! Ultimately, language learning becomes a habit, and the language becomes a part of them.

Characters

From recent research, we know that children engage better with familiar faces and characters. We have an inclusive cast of Maa Boli characters that our students can identify with and learn through. Through these characters and their experiences, the language comes to life.

Games

Each week, our learners get access to Blookets and Boomcards to practice what they have learned. Games make learning fun and motivate students. They’re free from the stress of studying but they get all benefits of competitive and engaging gamified practice. Our games are a hit!

Songs

Music enriches the learning experience and enhances memory. Songs add rhythm, rhyme, and repetition, making language learning both easier and more fun. Music not only helps students learn new things, but it exercises the brain, improves pronunciation and improves listening skills.
